The origin of Messing About In Sailboats

  • The original quote is from Kenneth Grahame's Wind In the Willows: "There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."

Wow. Through sheer coincidence, I'm wearing blue, and it's one of my nicer outfits, too -- it cost all of $7. That's because part of my action to save the planet/oceans is to participate in recycling by shopping at thrift shops.

One of the students in my early class even complimented me on the outfit. If I had known it was Oceans Day, that would have made a great segue. Oh, well, now I can tell my late class about it.
