Gary Jobson is currently doing a limited speaking tour sponsored by Mount Gay. He made a stop at RYC on Sunday March 22nd. What a joy! The guy is an awesome speaker. He shared some great stories and then presented videos of his life, Americas Cup, Acura, Newport Bermuda and best of all Qingdao. Throughout he provided a running commentary. It was a real privilege. Getting to work - Update

Back in January, I blogged my winter projects. In the last two weekends I made big progress on the boat. Here is where I am on my Winter Projects: 1. Pressure-test my outboard. Thanks to clubmate and fellow Brit (He's Welsh but won't hold that against him) Mike, I now have a working outboard. New plugs, fixed gaspump gasket, lubed up and ready to go. Yay! 2.Empty fuel and water tanks. Water tank is mysteriously empty but so are bilges. Need to investigate. Still need to deal with gas tank. 3. Replace the pipes from the water tank to the outlets. Fuggedaboutit! Too complicated will use Carol Anne's bleach idea. 4. Clean and grease the four winches. Still need to do but can do it on the water. 5. Paint the bottom with anti-foulant. Done x2.
