The origin of Messing About In Sailboats

  • The original quote is from Kenneth Grahame's Wind In the Willows: "There is nothing - absolutely nothing - half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats."

Hmmm. Long winter?

No kidding. I'm losing it

Life's rough. Haven't been sailing since Saturday. Probably won't get another chance until tomorrow; forecast is for 20 kts today gusting to 30 and the skipper doesn't like taking her boat out to practice in these conditions. And, taking the water-ballast cabin boat out would definitely be a dumb idea.
