Whenever I am doing some kind of maintenance on cadence, one of the best resources is this site by Compass Marine. In his won words:

You gotta love his honesty!
It covers everything from winterization tips to this autopsy of a heat exchanger. CSI eat your heart out! I have used it a couple of times - Last year while rebedding deck hardware and it was suggested again today to me for my seacock issues.
